Lita Rossana Ford, popularly called Lita Ford, is a born in Britain. She is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter, who was lead guitarist for The all-girl rock group, The Runaways, in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics made them a hit throughout the rock world. The Runaways were not popular within the United States. However, the band's popularity increased abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford started a heavy metal solo career when the band split in 1979. After taking voice lessons, Ford released her solo debut album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin at the Edge". Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them, and then she decided to leave the music scene for 10 years. In 1988, she came back to the limelight with her smash album "Lita". The lead track "Kiss me Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were huge hit songs. However, the success of her music was not long-lasting as she disappeared from the industry for several years. The 'Black" album was released in 1995 and her 'Wicked Wonderland" released almost fifteen years later. The album she released in the year 2016 titled 'Time-Capsule. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
