Bashar Barakah Jackson (July 20, 1999 until February 19, 2020) popularly referred to by the name of Pop Smoke, was an American musician and rapper. Victor Victor Worldwide, Republic Records and Bashar Barakah Jackson were his recording labels. Pop Smoke's fame grew with the group worked together in collaboration with UK producer of drill 808Melo Axl Beats (UK) and Yoz Beatz (UK). Welcome to the Party was the debut single off his debut mixtape Meet the Woo, which he released in July 2019 It was remixed by American rapper Nicki Minaj and British rapper Skepta. Both songs came out in the summer of 2019. Pop Smoke's most popular song Welcome to the Party was released in April 2019. It is the first single released from his debut mixtape Meet the Woo. Later, in August 2019 two versions of the track were made available. One of them featured Nicki Minaj while the second was a collaboration with Skepta. The song was noted for its usage from UK drill production later commonly found throughout his discography. This is due to the frequent collaborations with 808Melo (a British drill production company). Mpr Flexin, Dior and other tracks are known. Since the release Welcome to the Party in 2013 he has worked with many well-known artists in the production of singles including: War which features Lil Tjay; and 100k on the coupe, which features Calboy. Gatti was the collaboration the artist had in December 2019 with JackBoys, Travis Scott in December 2019and it is the last song on the album.
